Devonshire School Primary Yard Renewal Project

The students have been enjoying the new playstructure and the outdoor play areas. A huge thank you to Marni and Cathy for all of the work they did. The new Playground Committee has been busy working towards continuing the improvements and enhancing both the primary and junior yards.

We would like once again to thank Dow Honda for their generous contribution to this project!

The impetus for the Primary Yard Renewal Project was the desire to bring the yard’s play structures up to current standards. Find out more.

How you can help

We are still raising money for some oustanding items, including bball hoops and picnic tables. Here's how you can help:

Eat a Burger!
The Hintonburger at 991 Wellington will donate 50 cents from the sale of each burger-of-the-month to the playground fund. Their burgers are made with hormone-free local beef and are delicious!

Visit Collected Works
Collected Works at 1242 Wellington will donate 10% of each in-store or online purchase by Devonshire families to our playground project. Identify yourself as a Devonshire supporter and spread the word!

Playground Committee Meetings
Please contact us if you would like to come to a playground committee meeting. Meg or Mark , the Playground Committee Chairs, welcome your input.

Transforming a playground is a significant undertaking and many different kinds of support are needed. A lot has been accomplished, but there is still much to do. There are other ways you and your family can get involved to help us with this process. Do you own a business that would like to help by sponsoring our project? Do you have gardening, carpentry, or grant application writing skills? Or perhaps business or community contacts that may lead to donations or assistance? Do you know anyone that can provide discounted rates for landscaping materials and services? Please contact us!!!
